How Verification Works

iDPi shows several different badges, and they check different things — a Verified Agent badge doesn’t mean a listing’s title is verified, and a verified listing doesn’t mean the agent showing it is. Every one below is reviewed and applied by iDPi master or editor staff; none of them can be switched on by an agent or owner themselves.

Appears on an agent’s profile and their listings when all three of identity, contact details, and agency affiliation have been checked by iDPi. Missing any one of the three means the badge doesn’t show — it’s all three or none, not a partial credit.

A separate badge from Verified Agent — it means iDPi has reviewed this specific listing as a whole, not just the agent who posted it. It’s off by default on every new listing and only a master administrator can turn it on; an agent or editor submitting a listing can never mark it verified themselves.

Shown only on sale listings, and only when the deed type, the certificate itself, and all four ownership-verification checks — title, ownership, lien, and tax status — are on file and a verification date has been recorded. Missing any one of those keeps the badge off.

Shown only on rental listings, and only when all six rental-disclosure verification checks — covering the owner, the property, and the lease terms — are on file along with a verification date.

An agent’s licenses, memberships, certifications, and awards can each individually carry an “iDPi Verified” chip once iDPi has checked that specific credential — one credential being verified doesn’t verify the others on the same profile.

• A listing’s written description and any subjective claims in it — those remain the agent’s own representation. See our Listing Standards for what they’re expected to be truthful about.
• A market-value or rent estimate (the iDPi Property Intelligence panel) — that's a comparable-based estimate, explicitly labeled as one, never an appraisal.
• A flood-risk rating — it's a named, sourced government/scientific dataset reading at that location, not an iDPi guarantee about the property.

A verification isn’t permanent if the underlying information turns out to be inaccurate — iDPi staff can re-review, correct, or remove any badge, including after it’s already been shown publicly, if what it was based on changes or is found to be wrong.
